They Just Don't Make 'Em Like They Used To
Have you ever been watching a class black and white film and you just can't help but think man, they just don't make 'em like that anymore? Nightmare on Elm Street: Hit or Miss?
The latest Freddy movie has people talking. Not only does it star lots of newbies, like Twilight's Kellan Lutz and the CW's Katie Cassidy, but it has lots of controversy surrounding it. This is the first film of all the Freddy films that has a new actor reprising the role, and that is of Jackie Earl Haley who nabbed an Oscar nomination for this role in 2006's Little Children.
The film is also getting lots of negative reviews for the fact that Wes Craven, who wrote and directed the original in 1984, is not attached to it. He publicly said that he was hurt by the production company not asking for his involvement. However, Robert Englund, who played the original Freddy, has said that he did not want to be involved, but looks forward to the film.

I learned that The Shining has some hidden meaning to it when Jack Nicholson looks at the hedge maze. It apparently represents the maze like experience he will put his family through in the movie. I also learned... [More]
