SEC Football in the Air
Tomorrow is the first football game of the year. I'm particularly excited about this because I was abroad last fall and haven't been to a Vanderbilt football game in two years. The beginning of football season also means the beginning of tailgating season. Which means three things: sundresses, stickers, and solo cups.
When I was looking at applying to colleges, one thing that made a big difference to me between Vanderbilt and others schools was our Division I Athletics program. While we may not be the fiercest competitor in SEC football, I've come to love cheering on the ‘Dores against the best college teams in the country.
One of my favorite days of college so far was the football game against Auburn during my sophomore year. I woke up insanely early to go to ESPN College Gameday and then watched Vanderbilt beat Auburn and improve to 5-0 on the season. I've never had so much school spirit before.

It's Rocky Mountain Showdown Time!
It is a tradition that has stood the test of time since the invention of college football. Every school has one, and every student can identify with one. It is something that can influence the tamest student to scream, shout, and yell so loud to the point where your throat is hoarse and sore. It is something that I like to call a school's BIG football rivalry. It is that one school you just want... [More]

Sitting in the block
For those of you who don't know, a football block is the section of seats that end up on the jumbotron showing all the kids cheering at the games. Fraternities, sororities and other large organizations arrange to have their group sit together in a good section of seats for a home football game.
For every home game, my sorority pairs up with a different fraternity. We barbeque together and then walk to the stadium to sit together and cheer on the Gators.
Football blocks allow you to have a guaranteed seat with your friends, otherwise tickets are given out on a first come, first serve basis. It also makes sure that you have a ticket for each home game. You do not have to pick up the ticket every week.
If you received football tickets, do not forget to scan yourself into the block! Sitting with your friends is most fun at a game.

Duke Wins!
Okay, so usually I write about fitness today, but I couldn't let this opportunity slide. So last night, I got invited to go to the NCAA championship game. Being a Duke fan, I was so pumped to get to watch the Blue Devils slaughter Butler. I was so sure this was going to be an easy win. It turns out, it was the closest, most intense game I've ever watched. The biggest lead throughout the whole game... [More]

I go to the coolest school!
Let me tell you about college basketball...I'm just kidding, I don't really know a whole lot, though I do know that my school has an extremely, ridiculously good basketball team, with some standout players. While my boyfriend will be so embarassed when (or if) he reads this article with its lack of basketball knowledge and expertise, I will do my best to express the feeling of being on campus at...
