Mizzou to Welcome Lisa Ling this Wednesday!
Lisa Ling, the world-renowned journalist and special correspondent for the Oprah show, will visit Mizzou campus this Wednesday. Hosted by Delta Gamma (Mu), Ling is set to speak at their annual Lectureship in Values and Ethics.
In journalism, Ling has covered sensitive international issues such as natural resources, poverty, drug trafficking and war. She also works closely with CNN and in the past, was a co-host (for over three years) on The View.
Ling's most recent stint in the spotlight was due to the detainment of her sister Laura in North Korea, who was later brought home by Bill Clinton.
Lectureship is an event that Delta Gamma's at Mizzou have taken great pride in. In the past, they have hosted various speakers such as Jeff Corwin (Animal Planet), Joan Brock and Christopher Gardner (Pursuit of Happyness.)
After giving her speech at Jesse Hall, Ling is set to dine at the Delta Gamma house! I'll definitely post pictures after she visits, but in the meantime, check out all of the linked footage!
Xoxo,
Cassie
