The New Sims Game....my Addiction returns
I am a complete dork. It's really true, and slightly embarassing. While I may not have a pocket protector, I do enjoy a good computer game or two. In all fairness I only play one computer game, I don't even play video games of any kind (that's what every boy I know does). In fact, my boyfriend and his roommates all together have 5 different gaming systems! Goodness, that just seems unnecessary to me, but I am not a video gamer, so what do I know?
But I do love The Sims. That is the only game that I have continually played over the years and stuck with. Everything else (Crash Bandicoot Racing, Spyro, Rollercoaster Tycoon) have kind of gone by the wayside, but The Sims has continued to impress me. That probably has something to do with the fact that when they revamp the game they really do it big and wonderful. I have really enjoyed the improvements they've made, ESPECIALLY of those from The Sims 2 to 3. But it's not only that that keeps the game current and playable.
EA Games makes things called Expansion Packs for the basic Sims game that each have a different theme and give the player new furniture, clothes, hairstyles, house decorations, etc., etc. The only one that they have made for the Sims 3 is called The Sims 3: World Adventures, and I have to say, it is a magical expansion pack. It has so many great additions and graphics that I was blown away. And it's different than any other expansion pack in that you have goals and adventures to go on, things to accomplish and achieve. It is like they added a video game feature to a computer game, how smart!
You have the option of going to either Champs Les Sims (France), Shang Simla (China), or Al Simhara (Egypt) and taking on mummies, tombs, catacombs, Terra Cotta armies, martial arts, and cuisine from around the world. It is quite the adventure! I have only gotten to scratch the surface of all this expansion pack has to offer, but I would highly recommend it to anyone! GEEK AWAY!
