Dear John in Review

Last weekend I went with a couple of my friends to see the new movie Dear John, with Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried. A little advice for those of you planning on seeing it…bring tissues!! The ever-popular Nicholas Sparks novel, just like The Notebook, knows just how to tear at your heart-strings. Fear not, nothing written in here will spoil or given anything away about Dear John. The movie involves a story between a young girl Sophie, and military man John, who on spring break, fall madly in love. John then has to go back to his station in Germany for a year. They keep in contact through letters in hopes of remaining in the relationship. The story then takes you on different twists and turns, with one big surprise that you never see coming. The only thing that I did not absolutely love about the movie was the ending. It definitely needed a little something more for it to be absolutely fantastic. My friends all thought the same thing. Please don’t let this deter you from seeing it though, it really is a great movie, I was sobbing at parts haha. Plus, who doesn't like to watch Channing Tatum run around in uniform. Definitely a great Valentine’s Day date, if you didn’t already have something else planned!
