Snow Day
The snow storm hitting the east coast has cancelled work and school for a while now. I have a roomate who is interning in D.C. this semester, and she is off of work until Tuesday! Well, I don't know how you guys feel about getting snow days, but I love it! However, I don't know how I feel about having our govenrment shut down. CNN told me this morning that our government loses $100 million for every day that it is shut down. Well, that's awesome because our country is trillions of dollars in debt, and these past few days have just added to it.
I understand that it is dangerous to drive in the snow and all that jazz, but couldn't the government do something so that my generation of people isn't screwed later in life. Already, my generation of people has no social security money, and we will end up paying for the national debt.
So, while it's awesome that our government is productive enough to make $100 million per day, why can't we put a little bit of that into a national savings account?
