YOUNG AND ENGAGED..Duff is all grown up!

News broke out yesterday that pop singer/actress Hilary Duff is engaged at the young age of 22 to her boyfriend of over two years. Hockey player Mike Comrie popped the question last weekend while they were vacationing in Hawaii and I couldn't help but feel shocked when I heard the news. My friends and I are Juniors in college at 21 and that's as if we were to get married next year. SCARY! I also can't help but feel overjoyed for Ms. Duff. I grew up watching her on the Disney Channel and to see that she has become such a respectably young woman in today's entertainment business is honorable. Playing up the bad girl image and taking inappropriate pictures is a popular strategy among young starlets to get press. It's refreshing to see someone who has experienced such popularity and has remained humble. 

Her rep. has confirmed the engagement and reports have surfaced that the pair are planning to wed later this year. I can't express how weird this feels to know that in just a few years, my friends and I could be getting hitched. We better have fun now that we can....
