The Real Housewives Of Orange County get REAL

The Real Housewives Of Orange County get REAL

Shopping sprees, trips to the spa and elaborate vacations are all things that are commonly seen when watching an episode of Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Orange County”. Although these O.C. women appear to have it all, as the seasons continue the infamous saying “money can’t buy happiness” seems to be holding true.

While the show has always been packed with drama, season 5 has proven to be the most telling season thus far. Throughout the seasons we have seen the housewives struggle with marital issues, death, children issues and a variety of other things. These problems always brought a great amount of drama to the table, but this season has taken the word “drama” to a new level.

With the recession still in full force, not even The Real Housewives are safe from financial problems. In last week’s episode Lynne’s family was served with an eviction notice.  Lynne’s husband, Frank had been hiding his financial problems from both Lynne and his daughters.  After going away on a trip with the other housewives, Lynne and her two daughters moved in with Lynne’s mother.  Another housewife is also facing one of her biggest scares ever. Vicki’s daughter, Briana has recently had thyroid tests to see if she has cancer. Being under a tremendous amount of stress from her daughter’s health condition, Vicki has been on edge in recent episodes. A final controversy for the housewives involves Tamra. Having been married once before, Tamra has been known to say she never plans to divorce again. But as this season points out, sometimes relationships don’t always work out the way you plan. Tamra and husband Simon are frequently shown having disagreements and, as a result, the “D” word is once again appearing in Tamra’s conversations.

As the season comes to an end, you can rest assure knowing more drama will continue to surround these women.  Even though the drama seen on the show is often much more exaggerated than in our own lives, we are often able to relate in some way to the struggles and difficulties these women face.
