The Shows of Our Childhood

Today, my friends and I were reminiscing on our old favorite TV shows. All Nickelodeon shows were brought up as top favorites. Remember the big ones such as: All That, Are You Afraid of the Dark?,Doug, Legends of the Hidden Temple and Double Dare? The list could literally go on and on. They were all great shows that I’m sure we would still enjoy to this day. I don’t know if this is just because we are older now or if this really has happened, but Nickelodeon shows just aren’t what they used to be anymore. All the shows seem similar and they just aren’t as cool or entertaining. Another thing we miss as well is TGIF. In front of you couch was the place to be on Friday night, (wow, has that changed as we’ve gotten older). It featured shows like Boy Meets World, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, and so on. It’s what I looked forward to all week. I miss the shows like that. Now I feel like the popular shows in our age group are the trashy, reality shows on MTV. Granted there are some great shows like Entourage and The Office, but I still miss the days of Rocket Power.
