My mom always said that fashion trends come and go throughout the years and that the stuff I made fun of her for wearing, I’d soon wear too. I never believed her until shopping at the mall today when I saw the infamous “culottes” in nearly every single store. For those of you who do not know culottes are a one piece top/short combination outfits. They resemble a dress but instead of the bottom portion being open, it is shorts. I always thought my mom dressed me in heinous outfits but apparently she was on to something.

These days culottes can be found in just about any clothing store. Because floral patterns are in this season, most have flower prints or bright spring colors covering the entire outfit. My prediction for this coming spring is that culottes will be the next gladiator sandals. Culottes can be dressed up or down depending on the fabric and print you choose. They are a quick and easy way to put an entire outfit together almost effortlessly while still managing to look cute and fashionable.

Culottes were a trend many years ago and will most likely stay in style for a few more seasons. You can purchase culottes for cheap but still look like a million bucks! If you want to stay ahead of the trends, culottes are definitely a great buy.
