More About Me
I am Ruth Stark and I was born November 22, 1989. I have lived in Kansas City my whole life with my mom, dad, older sister and yellow Labrador. I attended Shawnee Mission East High School and loved it. I was involved in tennis, cheerleading and worked on my school newspaper, The Harbinger. I decided to go to the University of Nebraska in Lincoln because I loved the Journalism program and wanted to get out of state, but also not go too far away. While I am an incredibly loyal Kansas Jayhawk fan, I am quickly becoming an avid Cornhusker fan as well. I am a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, and I don’t know what I would do without the new friends I have made through being affiliated with Theta!

Making History

Making History

It was November 3, 1962. It was Homecoming. The Huskers were  up against the Missouri Tigers. At this point in time nobody realized the significance of this game. It was just another Homecoming game. Another year of yard displays, parades and hype. 47 years later we look back and realize that this game was the start of the 300 consecutive sell outs for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Cornhuskers... Victoria's Secret? School Spirit!

From sweatpants and zip up hoodies to flip flops and game day jerseys, there is no idea overlooked in these collections. While I know we all the love basic gear we can buy at the union and university book stores, no girl will complain if there is a little more... [More]

Live from UNL its Monday Night!

Live from UNL its Monday Night!

Tonight, for instance, we had Monday Night Live. This is the night where everyone involved in Homecoming goes to the Lied center to perform their skit that they have spent the past week working on. I had not gotten to spend that much time with the Farmhouse guys before, and I had so much fun getting to know them. You really bond with people when you are being goofy and learning to do celebrity... [More]

Nap Time

Nap Time

I need a nap. All I legitimately need is a nice, long, deep sleep nap, with NO interruption. As a college student, sleep is now a luxury, not something you should come to expect or count on. I feel tired most of the time. My eyes are usually glazed over, not that you could tell behind my nerdy glasses I wear because I am too lazy to put in contacts. My hair is always in some form of a very messy... [More]

I LOVE FLAG FOOTBALL!

I LOVE FLAG FOOTBALL!

It is my favorite time of year here at Kappa Alpha Theta. The belts with bright yellow flags, black jerseys and Wednesday nights! FLAG FOOTBALL IS BACK! We opened our season tonight with a great victory. Since its co-Ed our teammates this year are the men of Alpha Gamma Rho. We won 28 to 0 against Phi Mu and Delta Upsilon.
